Yes, it's another update on my health
Please skip if you're not interested... it's another painful whine.
Feeling better today - we even went out for a bit. After two days of moving very little, it felt nice to be out and about again - but I also noticed I'm not quite there yet, as I could feel every step in my jaw. Laughing feels very strange too... I was holding my jaw and Dragon kept asking if it hurt - no it didn't, but I was afraid all the time that it would start hurting. We were recollecting the half-time entertainment we saw last time we went to the Canucks game - it was five minutes of 6 year olds playing hockey which was absolutely hilarious and endearing and just thinking about it makes me giggle.
And I also seemed to have picked up a slight eye infection - my other eye has been weeping for two days now, although it's not painful nor does it look red or swollen (I'll give it one more day before I need to see a doctor).
Although I've started craving for solid foods, I don't quite feel comfortable in eating them yet. I ate some crab cakes and soft veggie pakoras for lunch, but still best food I could imagine was soup, so I made a nice cream of mushrooms soup for dinner. The annoying thing about eating is that after a nice meal the first thing I have to do is wash my mouth with salt water to make sure I don't have any bits stuck anywhere near the wound. Good news is that it's not bleeding anymore so I think I'm on track.
And thanks for reading and sorry about it all. Soon I'll write about something else again.
Posted by kolibri at 18 February 22:57, 2006And now for something completely different: I have achieved ruby red hair! Finally, the color and shade and deepness of red I have longed for. It took another packet of Recital Preference number 7.60 (shining bright red) to the roots, then no shampooing to condition, but directly onto the towel dried hair I put on half a tube of Igora´s Action Paint "Ruby Craze" (strong pink color with no mixing or seperate developer). This will propably destroy our bed linen and bathroom tiles, but hey, they have been damaged by the black hair color already: And most importantly, I look HOT!

The public demands pictures JMB!

I found no red hair pictures, but there are some other with very nice pictures with natural colour!

Thank you and yes, we´re working on new red-hair-photos of us both (Henri is very nicely striped). The portraits were taken yesterday and the day before that, so there is evidence to look forward to.

Teeth are evil. Milk shakes and ice cream, however, are not. :) I'll be getting another root canal soon so I know the drill (forgive the pun :). Get well soon.

hfb is quite correct: at least to me, ice cream was actually recommended by the doctor, as cold helps the wound to heal. Just be careful with the chunky bits ;).
Smiling and walking will feel strange for about a week. Around the time the stiches are removed there will have been a clear change for the better. The hole will remain for a good while, so you will want to keep on taking care no food gets there.
All in all, the 2-3 first days are the worst, so now you're well on your way to recovery. And boy, oh boy, after they do take the stitches out, does it feel sweet to wash your teeth again properly!
