Ooh, challenge
Moira challenges me to the top-6 songs of the moment meme, so how can I refuse. These are the songs that are my current favourites:
- Rammstein: Ohne dich - especially Mina Harkerīs Remix by Laibach from the EP. This song is one of my absolute favourites from the new album, and this remix with the female vocalist together with Till's masculine voice just hits the sweet spot for me.
- Guns n' Roses: One in a Million - thanks to Schizo for reminding me of this old favourite. Lyrics are probably even more poignant now than in the 90s, and Axl Rose has one of the greatest voices in heavy rock which comes perfectly through with the acoustic background.
- Sarah McLachlan: Adia - in addition to being very beautiful, this plugs into my storytelling vein and I feel like writing the story behind the lyrics. Who is Adia, and what happened, and so on.
- Garbage: Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go) - something happier, at least in melody if not the words. Something you feel like singing along to, or start dancing in the middle of the street.
- Barenaked Ladies: Enid - have to choose something from the Ladies, and currently it's Enid. Love them, love this song - for me this song is just a perfect ten.
- And something from the fatherland, my current favourite is Ultra Bra: Poika Vuoden Takaa. I don't know why this one, really, but for some reason I keep coming back to it.
As for the challenge, I think pretty much everyone that would like to take part has done it so I'm stopping the buck here.

# 1 - Outi (on June 11, 2005 02:29 AM): Uuuhhhhh.. I've always thought Axl Rose's voice is absolutely unbearable (sp). Just ten minutes of Guns'n'Roses is enough to get me into bad mood for hours. But to each their own :)

I'm _so_ with you regarding Ohne dich - especially Mina Harker's remix. It's absolutely gorgeous and that doesn't even begin to describe it :)
