Collectormania
Here we are, in Milton Keynes in Collectormania. Huge amount of celebrities and their fans... Last year Lord of the Rings was the big thing, this year there's not so many of them but Star Wars is the biggest thing with Carrie Fisher headlining. I'm here for my favourites Star Trek and WWE stars - I've met Stacy Keibler and Test, and Walter Koenig and I'm just waiting for my nunber to come up to meet Marina Sirtis. Everyone has been really nice, and I even managed to meet Ian who had just come out of Michael Dorn's queue.
What do you do when you meet these people? I have never quite worked that out. And I'm not asking to get to act all high and mighty about fan behavior, but I'm actually interested. If for no other reason, then as a possible preparation for a The Scandinavian Sci-Fi, Game & film Convetion (yes, it really is called that) coming up at the ned of the month. John Rhys-Davies, Ron Perlman, David Prowse and the original KITT will be attending... :)

Well... you talk to them. Have a little chat. Personally I don't think I'd want to meet people I wouldn't want to say something to - they are usually people who's work I admire and if nothing else I want to tell them that. Also - I'm interested in seeing and meeting them as people behind the characters, sometimes it's surprising how different - or indeed similar - they are. But you definetly need to be a fan to do it :)
Today I've talked to Test about his health, his neck injury and surgery he's had, and how he's healing up. We talked about Canada and taxes there (as he's Canadian), and Vancouver and he gave me good tips to go to partying there :) I spoke to Stacy about her winning Babe of the Year contest, her travelling schedule and her going to Finland next week. With Walter I talked about his current project - he's written, directed and acted in a short film, and he gave me tips about Vancouver as well :) Marina told me about a TV series she's been working on here in England she was hoping would take off, and we discussed subtitles and dubbing.
You know, stuff :)

Well, you have to talk them about either their work or any personal gossip you know about them. After all your only point of reference is the public info available about them.
You can't add any more comments, but if you wish you can email the author.
