Piece of home

OreoHaj just gave me an Oreo cookie. Well, it's called Oreo here, but in Finland it's known as Domino. It's funny, Dominos have never been one of my favourite cookie (and by the way the real way to eat them is to take little bites - all this twisting the cookies apart to eat the fondant first business is just plain wrong), but eating it now just takes me back to my childhood. I can vividly remember in the summer sitting at our kitchen table in Haaga and eating Domino cookies and drinking Mehukatti juice.

And did you know, by the way, that Oreo cookie is the best selling cookie of the 20th century. No, I didn't either.

I loved Domino cookies as a kid. But I did the whole twisting the crackers apart and meticulously ate the white filling before I ate the crackers. (What part of the brain stores all these detailed memories?) But my favorite cookie was the Carneval cookies, more specifically the brown frosted one, the one that had a slight taste of coffee. Mmm!

Hear! Hear!
At last someone says it out in the open - twisting *is* wrong.

Thank you, thank you. Just trying to fight for justice ;)

And rannva: I used to love Carneval cookies too - I wonder if they are still made?

I wouldn't compare Oreos to Dominos. They're not very similar in taste, in my humble opinion. They look somewhat similar but taste different :)

I just scrape the bisquit part off with my teeth, then eat the filling. Any other way would be too easy. :)

I've obviously been away too long. They tasted the same to me :|

I think we need an inter-blogistan survey of the the right way to eat dominos. There are at least 3 schools of philosophy thus far, and we must find out which ones are heretic, and to find the True Way amongs the false gods.

Is seems to be a trend to include bad behaviour in tv commercials. People rush having 'me first' glance in their eyes and make ugly elbow tricks to each other, as a demonstration of attractiviness of the product in case.

A much smaller scale of sin was seen yesterday in a tv spot for 'Domino since 1952'. The point was a wrist twist movement. Everybody was keen to screw apart the two sides of Domino cookies. - As we know, that is not a nice way of eating Dominoes!
